Questions people ask

If yours is not here, call or send us a message.

Do I need a referral?

In Missouri you can start physical therapy without a referral, within limits your therapist explains. Your plan may still ask for one, and Medicare asks a doctor or another provider to sign off on your plan of care. We tell you what applies before the first visit.

Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?

We bill Medicare Part B and many other plan types. Medicare Part B can cover outpatient physical therapy at home if you are not getting home health at the same time. We check your benefits and call you before the first visit.

What if I pay myself?

You can pay for visits yourself. We give you a written estimate before your first visit and tell you the fee for each kind of visit before you book.

How long is a visit, and who treats me?

A first visit takes about an hour. A licensed physical therapist treats you at every visit, and we keep you with the same therapist when we can.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on what your therapist finds, your goals and how you respond. They talk it through with you and change the plan as you go.

What should I wear and bring?

Clothes you can move in and the shoes you wear every day. Bring your plan card and a list of your medicines. At home, have a chair with arms and a clear stretch of floor.

Will it hurt?

We work within what you can tolerate. Tell your therapist what you feel and we adjust.

Do you offer visits by video?

Some follow-up visits can happen by video for clients in Missouri. Your therapist tells you when it is a good fit.

Do you treat work or auto injuries?

Tell us who your adjuster is when you call. We check what applies before the first visit.

Can I switch between home and a hub?

Yes. Tell the front desk and we will move your next visit. Many clients use both.
